PreKindergarten for 4-Year Olds
At Trinity Lutheran School, our Pre-Kindergarten program builds upon the foundation of early learning with a Christ-centered, child-focused curriculum designed to prepare students for Kindergarten and beyond. Using a blend of ABEKA ABC-123, One in Christ Bible Curriculum, and Scholastic My Big World, along with our own preparatory resources, we provide age-appropriate lessons that nurture language, cognitive, physical, and social development. Spiritual growth is woven into every part of the day through Bible stories, daily devotions, chapel, and the modeling of Christian love. Each child is reminded that they are uniquely created and deeply loved by God.
Daily routines balance structure with exploration, creating a learning environment that is both engaging and enriching. Students participate in read-alouds, songs, calendar and weather activities, independent table work, and indoor/outdoor play. Through hands-on learning—such as puzzles, roleplaying, arts and crafts, journal writing, and early exposure to letters and numbers—children develop curiosity, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Opportunities like “Star of the Week,” circle time, and sharing activities further strengthen communication and build a sense of classroom community.
Pre-K students are also introduced to sign language and basic Spanish and Hawaiian words, encouraging cultural awareness and a love of language. Field trips, classroom celebrations, and special performances add excitement and joy to the learning experience. With a focus on kindness, responsibility, and respect, our Pre-Kindergarten program helps students grow in faith, confidence, and readiness for their next step in education.
Preschool for 3-Year Olds
At Trinity Lutheran School, our Preschool class for 3-year olds provides a Christ-centered and child-focused foundation where young learners are nurtured in mind, body, and spirit. Rooted in the love of Jesus, our curriculum blends faith with age-appropriate learning experiences that help children grow in language, social skills, and cognitive development while building confidence in daily routines. Through Bible stories, prayer, and chapel, students are reminded each day that they are uniquely created, deeply loved by God, and filled with purpose.
Our classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Children learn through hands-on experiences such as puzzles, dramatic play, arts and crafts, and music. They are supported as individuals, with teachers fostering their unique learning styles while encouraging kindness, empathy, and respectful interactions. Beyond the classroom, students enjoy enrichment activities like field trips, special performances, and classroom celebrations, creating joyful memories and a strong sense of community. At Trinity, Preschool is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, learning, and growth in a nurturing Christian ʻohana.

Classes are filled on a first paid basis. Applicants are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible to secure a spot in their respective class. Once a class is filled, a waitlist will be available.

Complete and submit APPLICATION and ENROLLMENT forms and fees.

Turn in a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
Prior to starting school, your child will need to complete two health forms required by the State of Hawaii. Please click on the links below.
Please note, students must be fully potty trained. Trinity Lutheran School defines fully potty trained as the child knows when he/she needs to use the bathroom and being able to do so without assistance. Trinity Lutheran School does not allow a child to come to school wearing pull-ups or similar style potty training garments. If multiple potty accidents occur during school hours, the child will be asked to stay home for retraining.
